Jableh

      A syrian seaside town , 28 kms. To the south of Lattakia,virtually in the middle Of the Syrian coast It was an ancient port and it does infact possess an important ancient buildings which already causes the town to be mentioned on lists of sites worth visiting 

The Phoenicians built their kingdom , Siano , ten kms . to the east of Jableh . The Romans were the visitors who left a signifcant memento of  their presence : a theatre built to accommodate between 7000 to 8000 spectators The site is completely flat . Not far from the theatre , a minaret and a series of white domes indicate the presence of a mosque .This shrine contains the tomb of a major saint of Sultan Ibrahem , king of  Balkh  who renounced his throne for a life of virtue and charity . He died and in Jableh

 All the Phonecian momentoses inside Jableh are under ground . In 2002, two adjacent cemeteries were discovered near the sea shore inside the modern city

A city and center of one of five parts that Lattakia Governorate is divided  to Jableh is located at latitude 35°   21´   North , and at longitude 35°   26´ East . It is built on a rocky plate 20 meters above sea level

Jableh has more than 70 000 inhabitants nearly twice the number of its inhabitants in 1983 `` 34018 ``: 17 166  males, 16 892 females  This grow is due to the specific development to the migvation from the country to the city has four regions:

A- AinSheqaq and the villages of  Jableh
B- Enil-Sharqiyeh

C-Al – Qteilbiyeh

D-Ad , dalieh
